The Matheson Family Foundation
Established in 2022, The Matheson Family Foundation, based in Langley, BC, is committed to making a difference in the community in which we serve. The Foundation supports youth sports and related programs, as well as providing bursaries and endowment for students in need of financial support to continue their studies and athletic endeavors. As well, the Foundation supports various community health care initiatives, and social service programs. To date, the Matheson Family foundation has supported over 50 programs and organizations across the lower mainland.
History
The Matheson Family Foundation is a Langley, BC based private Canadian charitable foundation established under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act and Income Tax Act (Canada). The Foundation’s purpose is to provide support to registered charities and qualified donees in the areas of health care, community social programs, and youth grassroots athletic programs.
Through various privately held businesses, Dana & Laurel Matheson have been giving members of their community for over two decades. With over 1 million corporate dollars donated and gifted since 2005, it made sense to form our foundation in 2022. We have raised our children, Colton & Chloe to play a role in giving within our community. Our foundation is something that will carry through to the generations ahead as we continue to foster a culture of giving within our local community.
